Description:
For my thesis project, we were invited to explore the tension between the hyper-speed of platforms like TikTok and the forgotten state of boredom - a space increasingly rare, yet rich with creative potential.
I chose to respond through the medium of fashion film, using it to reflect on overstimulation, silence, and the dissonance between constant input and emotional detachment. My film, titled White Noise, draws inspiration from the transcendental style of filmmaking -known for its use of minimalism, slowness, and spiritual tension, but reinterprets it within a distinctly contemporary framework. Set in mundane, familiar spaces, the film uses pacing, quiet absurdity, and visual repetition to evoke the numbness and longing of a generation raised on noise
