Description:

Under the mentorship of Dan Thawley (former Editor of A Magazine Curated By and current Art Director of Matter and Shape), we were tasked with developing a concept for a new fashion, design, and culture magazine. The project spanned from initial ideation to production planning, guided by the brief “A New (Non)-Domestic Landscape,” which encouraged reflection on shifting definitions of humanity, responsibility, and life itself—drawing inspiration from The Milk of Dreams (Venice Biennale 2022) and the Radical Utopians of the late '60s.

In response, we launched PAROX, a magazine rooted in Paradoxism and influenced by the anti-establishment ethos of the Fluxus movement. The publication embraces contradiction, irony, and conceptual playfulness as tools to critique contemporary culture and challenge conventional editorial structures.

Our debut issue, titled Negative Income, explored themes of value, visibility, and survival in a system where worth is often intangible. The content balanced satire and sincerity, featuring editorials and interviews that unpacked economic and existential contradictions with a sharp visual and conceptual language.
